Hubby and I went camping in Maryland last week for 3 nights. We had so much fun! We stayed at Pocomoke River State Park and visited Ocean City, MD, Assateague Island, and Chincoteague Island. I grew up going to Ocean City with my family, plus hubby and I camped 8 years in a row at Assateague Island. It had been 5 years or more since we went back to Maryland. So it was great to see everything was the same and I enjoyed a lot of great memories. We made some new great memories as well. Let me show you what we saw and did on our visit.
This is Pocomoke River State Park and our tent. –
This is the Ocean City, MD boardwalk. Every morning people ride their bikes here and we did it for the first time this year. It sure is fun at night! We enjoyed watching the street performers and played skee ball. I love to find a kid to give all of my tickets to. I bought myself a cute summer dress and a pretty wind chime from The Kite Loft store. Hubby lost the string for our kite so he picked up another one. We packed a lot of food that I prepared before hand and used mason jars to keep the food fresh in the coolers. It’s a great idea for tent camping! We also ate at some of our favorite places then went for a walk along the beach. I took pictures of the buildings along the boardwalk from the beach.
I rode this ride when I was a little girl. It’s so cool that it’s still there!
This is Assatueague Island. We walked on the Dune Trail, Marsh Trail, and sat on the beach for a few hours. We also went over to the bay side to sit in our chairs and it was really nice. We can’t wait to go back and enjoy it again! In case you may not know Assateague Island is well known for the wild ponies that live there.
This is Chincoteague Island. We rode our bikes and got eaten up by mosquitoes lol. We found a cute coffee place and sat down at a nearby park to have our coffee and snacks.
Thank you for stopping by and reading about our trip! Can’t wait to go again! <3<3<3
