Susquehannock State Park

Today we went hiking at Susquehannock State Park.  We have been here several times before.  The park office is never open when we go and we still don’t have the stamp for this park.  It was 37 degrees out and mostly sunny.  A beautiful day for a hike!  We started out hiking to the two overlooks.

Then we hiked on the Rhododendron Trail.  Our legs are sore because we did a lot of climbing and we loved it.  We stopped at the top of the second steep climb to rest and have a snack.DSC_0031 (2)DSC_0022 (2)DSC_0023 (2)DSC_0025 (3)DSC_0026DSC_0027 (2)DSC_0029 (2)DSC_0030 (2)DSC_0033 (2)DSC_0034 (2)DSC_0037 (2)DSC_0041 (2)

We saw a bunch of big holly trees and a pretty sunset.DSC_0045 (3)DSC_0049 (2)

We enjoyed Christmas music and lights on the ride home.  What have you been doing for the holidays so far?  We have been to a tree lighting ceremony and saw a play performance of “A Christmas Carol.” DSC_0062 (2)DSC_0063 (2)DSC_0066 (2)IMG_20181130_183624IMG_20181130_183536And while we were in Jim Thorpe we picked up mistletoe, a polar express bell, and toured the church.  We still have a few more fun things planned!!!  Also, we saw a really cute movie called “A Christmas Wish” starring Jimmy Durante.  You should check it out. ;- )
