Today we went to a State Park we visited once before in 2014. We did more hiking than last time and here are our pictures. We can’t wait to return in the summertime to play disc golf and fly our kite.
This park used to have an arboretum.
Beautiful views of the Susquehanna River from the picnic pavilion…
Also we have been feeding our backyard birds like we always have. I’m still waiting for the Mourning Doves to start cooing like they usually do in February. The Great Backyard Bird Count is coming up near the end of February and it’s a fun way for anyone to enjoy the outdoors and participate in something beneficial for the birds. I have done it for a few years and it’s so much fun! The one year we saw thousands of snow geese fly over our house while we were sitting outside on our deck counting.
We have decided to borrow all of the seasons of Seinfeld for the second time from the library. I can’t help it, we laugh sooo much watching this show.
Tonight I wanted something easy to make for dinner so I made a little stir fry over basmati rice. I used onion, garlic, ginger, red bell pepper, mushrooms, broccoli, and sesame seeds. I put a tiny amount of sesame oil in and I’m glad hubby told me I didn’t need a lot. Also garlic powder, red pepper flakes, s&p. Then I made a quick sauce for on top: I eyeballed soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar and corn starch. It was really yummy!!!
This is the snowman I made this morning. His name is Fred Astaire.
