I have been enjoying the annual bird count this weekend. The first day was Friday. We saw two Bald Eagles and four Hawks on the way to our walking trail. Yesterday I went out later in the day and only saw two Cardinals. So then I decided to count early this morning and saw a lot more birds. I saw Woodpeckers, Nuthatches, Finches, Chicadees, Mourning Doves and more. I even saw about 15 Seagulls fly over too. I was happy to hear the Mourning Doves cooing for the first time this year, another wonderful first sign of Spring!
After counting birds we got ready to go hiking. We went back to Susquehannock State Park to explore another part of the overlook trail we haven’t hiked yet. When we were halfway there I realized we forgot our hiking boots, but luckily the trail wasn’t wet or muddy at all.
On the way home we stopped in Lititz to see the ice sculptures during the Fire & Ice festival.
Thanks for stopping by and have a beautiful week!💞
