Spring Frog Walk

On today’s walk we heard two different frog calls.  We’re used to hearing the Spring Peeper, but today we also discovered Wood Frogs.  I thought they sounded like birds at first.  This one in the picture was sitting on the trail catching the rays.  Here’s a site to listen to more frog calls- Calls of Frogs and Toads of the Northeast I’m going to see how many we can identify on upcoming nature walks and maybe you can too.  🙂IMG_20190326_145904

Here’s more pictures from the walk today.  We were in an area where there used to be a canal and a tunnel.IMG_20190326_151215IMG_20190326_152706IMG_20190326_151104IMG_20190326_150612IMG_20190326_152418IMG_20190326_150858IMG_20190326_152305

We have some more Spring flowers popping up in the garden at home.IMG_20190326_161735 IMG_20190326_161752

Plus we have a Mourning Dove nesting in the tree above the flowers.  If you look closely in the center of this picture, you can see the dove’s tail. ❤IMG_20190326_161814
