Looking Within – A Streetbeatina Poem

I’ve been wanting to write a poem in this form since I first read about it here: Invented  Forms: The Streetbeatina.  I enjoy writing different poetry forms a lot and when I lived in Reading many years ago, I used to write poems for a blog called Poetry Dance and each challenge was a different form of poetry.  I was really excited when I found this one and so here’s my poem, Enjoy!

Looking Within

In the summertime I relax
within the mountains near the park.
Here I intend to hike today
and find an inspiring good spot.
The creek that flows into the lake
beside the rock therein I sit.
Where I am free to have insight,
breathe in and seek some time within.
