Chincoteague Island Adventure 2019

We went camping at Chincoteague Island, VA over the weekend.  It was really hot and we aren’t feeling our best, but hopefully we will be back to ourselves soon.

We went to the boardwalk in Ocean City, MD the first night and enjoyed all of our favorite things to do there.

The next day we went to the blueberry festival.  I found some amazing creations.  I wanted to feature a few of the artists on my blog.  I told one about my blog, and I’m just sharing cause it’s fun.  Maybe someday I will sell my handmade creations at craft shows too.  I would love to travel around doing that! :):):)  I also picked up some dip spices, blueberry syrup, and really nice olive oil.  And hubby found a really cool ring.

After the festival, we picked up some sandwiches and went back to the cabin for lunch then rested a bit.

Next we went to the beach to relax, read, and walk for a few hours.  Hubby didn’t want to leave our stuff sit by our chairs so I walked all the way down the beach collecting shells.  I took pictures for a family and found one of those cute rocks that I hid somewhere else.  When I got to the end of the one section of the beach, there were a bunch of bare trees with shells hung all over them.  It was really fun to look at, so I traded one shell for another I found and hung up a few more.  I didn’t take my camera with me to take a picture of it.

The cute little ghost crabs started to appear on the beach and I was amused that every time a seagull flew over, all the little crabs scurried back to their holes in the sand.  The bugs started to bite and we were hungry so we headed back to freshen up for dinner.  This is the landscape at Chincoteague Island.

We had to wait 20 minutes for a table for dinner so we hung out at the park near main st.  Someone offered to take our picture at the love chairs.

When I checked on the garden, I found some pretty new flowers, 3 huge zucchini, a bell pepper, and a couple cucumbers.

  1. Love both Chincoteague and Ocean City! This post really brought that feeling. And that kitty at the end- that’s the best part of any adventure, coming home to them!
