My Garden Notes – Cardinal Flower

This is cardinal flower, a Pennsylvania native wildflower. I saw this growing in the wild on a hike by the Lehigh River in 2013. When I saw it at the native plant sale, I knew I had to have it in my garden. Unfortunately a hail storm damaged the plant and it didn’t grow back. I will pick a new one out this Spring.  It’s really beautiful and the hummingbirds appreciate it!
