My Garden Notes – Irises

IMG_20200313_010122_452

I saw these gorgeous irises at Whole Foods yesterday.  I had to take a picture of them to share.  Iris is the Greek word for rainbow and there are 300 species of iris. 😸 Blue flag iris is native to the northeast.  I will look for them at the native plant sale, as the ornamental yellow flag iris is invasive.

Spring is the best time of the year!  ☀🌈💐
