My Garden Notes – Irises

I saw these gorgeous irises at Whole Foods yesterday.  I had to take a picture of them to share.  Iris is the Greek word for rainbow and there are 300 species of iris. 😸 Blue flag iris is native to the northeast.  I will look for them at the native plant sale, as the ornamental…

Snow Geese

Every year, we visit Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area to see the migrating snow geese.  We enjoyed our coffees and scones before walking out to the lake. We were just about to leave when suddenly they all took off.  We had been waiting and hoping to see this.  It was so amazing! It reminded me…

Wildwood Park

It’s 28°F today and icy, but we managed to still go for a nice walk. Now we are at Starbucks for coffees and treats. Happy MLK Day!

Camping in Cape May – Day 1

This week, we are staying in a cabin near Cape May.  It’s their 40th anniversary and since we stayed here once before we received a post card for a discount on our next stay.  Hooray! The cabin has cute signs hung up on the walls inside. We ate dinner at The Lobster House. I picked…
