Tyler State Park + Happy Spring

On Monday hubby and I went hiking. We saw fig buttercups and skunk cabbage. It’s so interesting that skunk cabbage produces it’s own heat up to 70 degrees. That’s why it’s able to grow when it’s still in The 40’s here in PA. Happy Spring! 😊🌸💜🌷☀

Peace Valley Nature Center

Peace Valley Nature Center is such a beautiful place to visit. The pictures are from August 2014, May 2015, and December 2017.

Kings Gap Garden

Kings Gap Environmental Education Center is on the list of PA State Parks. We have been here a few times and always enjoy visiting the garden. The pictures are from summer and fall.

Kinzua Bridge and Bald Eagle State Parks

Back in October 2015, we went camping at Cook Forest and visited Kinzua Bridge and Bald Eagle State Parks. Kinzua bridge was once the longest and tallest railroad structure until partially destroyed by a tornado in 2003. The last picture is a black squirrel we saw on our way to a nearby town to eat dinner. 😛…

Cook Forest and Presque Isle State Parks

In October 2012, we went on a road trip to Erie, PA and stayed in a bed and breakfast. We stopped at Cook Forest to check out the ginormous trees and Presque Isle to see Lake Erie.

Tobyhanna State Park

Thanks for stopping by. ❤ We went to Tobyhanna State Park on Nov 28th. We hiked the five mile trail around the lake.

Ricketts Glen State Park

This is one of my favorite trails to hike. I was happy to get to go here this summer. We went on August 31st. It was just warm enough to wear shorts and tank tops. I even found blue bottle gentian along the trail, one of my favorite native wildflowers. I recently saw a picture…

Beltzville State Park

Hubby and I went to Beltzville State Park last weekend. We ate our veggie wraps then found a ridge trail to hike. We saw a waterfall and some pretty wildflowers nearby. It was a relaxing day and this was our second visit to the park.
