Pretty Berries

The sun was shining on the raspberry bushes covered with ice, so I grabbed the camera and walked over to take pictures.  I was so happy to find these pretty berries.  The bokeh is so neat.

Friday Adventure

On Friday, we went biking at Lehigh Gorge State Park and hiking at Hickory Run State Park.  We saw Purple Flowering Raspberry bushes growing in the wild for the first time.  This one was right by the waterfall. Little Beauties

  We went for a walk around our property to look for turtles.  I took pictures and I told Steve that this is the time of year people find fawns and they are usually fine if you find them by themselves.  I mentioned it because I saw a deer near the deck the other day…

Winter Hike – Beltzville State Park

Today we enjoyed a 3 mile winter hike. We hiked past the waterfall, big hemlock trees, and along the ridge trail.  There was a light dusting of snow. “Between every two pines there is a doorway to a new world.” -John Muir
